Richmond, VA

(according to Kenzie and Connor)

While we have grown to love Richmond for its grungy, quirky, and historic charm, we understand that Richmond is new to many of our guests.

Please see the activities, restaurants, and areas that we frequent. Grab a coffee, take a walk, enjoy the scenery. Virginia is for lovers!

Our Favorite Coffee Shop

Grit Coffee has fueled many lazy Sunday morning walks, wedding chats, and adventures. Check out the location in Scott’s Addition. Connor’s go-to drink is a flat white, while Kenzie drinks a vanilla latte with cinnamon.

Our Favorite Breakfast

We love Joe’s Inn the Fan because it gives a cozy diner vibe while also being located in a beautiful neighborhood. Try the French toast or order a Miller Lite and coffee if you want to start your day like Connor.

Our Favorite Date Night Restaurant

Alewife has seen many of our accomplishments, celebrations, and smiles. With a fresh, seasonal, and rotating menu, we are always captivated by Alewife’s delicious food.

Our Favorite Walk

Hollywood Cemetery is a must-see if you like history, architecture, and spooks! Located right in the heart of the city, it is a great way to see some of Richmond’s oldest jaunts.

Our Favorite Museum

The Virginia Museum of Fine Arts is a wonderful collection of exhibits. We recommend the Faberge eggs and the African-American art sections.

Our Favorite Place to Take Guests

Hotel Greene is a putt-putt course built within a historic hotel. As you traverse the different rooms (including a bathroom!), you become more infatuated with the gorgeous decor. It truly is highfalutin’ mini golf.

Our Trivia Bar

Penny Lane Pub is a true English pub adorned with Liverpool memorabilia and anything Beatles-themed. We typically go to trivia here on Wednesday nights, but we are no strangers to karaoke on Thursdays!

Our Dessert Spot

Shyndigz practically raised our little Richmond souls. We spent almost every Tuesday at Shyndigz eating dessert, talking to friends, and venting about our days. Connor likes the key lime pie, and Kenzie likes the oatmeal cream pies.

Our Go-To Area

The Fan is home to numerous coffee shops, restaurants, and shops. It is a place we love to walk around, look at pretty houses, and enjoy the sunshine. We typically like to walk up and down Grove Street, Hanover Avenue, and Cary Street.

Whatever it is you choose to do in Richmond, know that we are happy you’re here!
